DIY Lavender Coconut Oil Body Cream Tutorial

DIY Lavender Coconut Oil Body Cream Tutorial
Public Lives, Secret Recipes

Doesn’t it seem like everyone is beyond obsessed with coconut oil lately? It’s being used for teeth cleaning, as a drink, in recipes, and for our favorite: softer skin. Coconut oil is loaded with saturated fats which helps retain moisture on the skin hence leaving the skin beyond smooth. Since everyone is loving coconut oil on it’s own lately we wanted to create a DIY that is 1. easy for you to recreate! 2. the perfect gift for others… or yourself! In two easy steps and under 30 minutes you can create this adorable DIY. Toss it in a mason jar, wrap with bakers twine, throw some dried lavender stems into the knot, and you instantly have the perfect coconut oil body cream.

What You’ll Need: Vitamin E Oil (ships free!) | Lavender Essential Oil | Unrefined, Organic Coconut Oil | Large Mixing Bowl | Electric Mixer

Step 1: In large mixing bowl, combine 14 oz. Coconut Oil, 14 drops of Lavender Essential Oil, & 2 drops of Vitamin E Oil. Stir to combine. Place in freezer for 20 minutes, until solid.
Step 2: Remove from freezer & stir with electric mixer for 6 minutes until soft & fluffy. Transfer to air tight container. Keep jar sealed & in cool or room temperature area when not in use.

If you're feeling inspired and want to keep creating, here are a few other coconut oil + essential oil combinations we love: eucalyptus + coconut oil | fresh rosemary + coconut oil | peach + coconut oil.
